Adopting a Cat

Please follow the directions below to complete (or request a paper copy of) an Adoption application. Someone from The Cat Connection will contact you soon to speak with you about our adoption process.

Some things to understand about our adoptions:

1. Our main goal is to place our cats in the best homes possible.
2. We will do our best to get to know you to understand the type of cat you want.
3. We will select homes based on the needs of the cats rather than the needs of the adopters but will do our best to satisfy both.
4. The cat you are first interested in may not be your best match.
5. A contract signed by you and any spouse or partner will be required prior to (or at) adoption.

We trust you’ll understand how important it is that we take the time to get to know our potential adopters so that we can make great matches! Adopting a cat might be a 20 year commitment so taking a little time at the beginning will pay off in the long run. We know it’s hard to meet a kitty, fall in love, and have to wait for the adoption process. We’ve been there, too! Filling out this form gets the ball rolling!

The Cat Connection Adoption Application

To fill out the application, please press the “Download” button below. When you’ve done that, you will probably be able to see the application right away but you won’t be able to type into the blank spaces. In order to fill it out, you’ll have to “save to files” as a PDF then select the application from your files menu. THIS form will be editable.

If you’re not comfortable filling out the PDF on your computer, feel free to print out the form and fill it out by hand or give us a call and request a paper copy to fill out! We’re all about making this easy–not confusing!

Once you’ve filled out the PDF form, you can send it back to The Cat Connection via email or print it out and bring it with you to meet us and our kitties. Please don’t use a digital signature so that The Cat Connection representative and you can verify the adoption fee and that all information is completed. Signatures will be added at or before your cat adoption.
