On a dark and frigid night in January, a new pair of big golden eyes blinked up at a rescuer through the sleet and mist. Hungry, tired, and losing hope, the discarded boy risked coming into a new territory for warmth and food. The kind rescuer offered him a soft word and a large plate of food which he devoured quickly. There were other hungry cats in this place and they had resting spaces claimed after filling their empty bellies so, not knowing where to lie down, he wandered off into the cold night after the rescuer went inside her home, hoping to find a safe shelter of his own.

After a few days of returning for food, with the rescuer talking to him sweetly and reaching out her hand, he dared to come close enough for petting and affection! Soon, the kind woman brought him a warm, straw-filled box to keep sheltered and the two became fast friends. He finally had someone who took care of him—pets, food, a warm bed—and before long, she whisked him away to a new home!

Finally indoors where he was warm and safe, he found new people who showered him with kindness and care. They took him to a veterinarian who checked him over and removed some teeth that had been hurting him for a while. They also fixed him up with a neuter, vaccinations, and parasite treatment.

Now as regal as his new name, Aslan has discovered sleeping in a bed, living with other nice kitties, and the joy of napping safely in the sun! He’s healed from his journey as a lost soul, struggling to survive and hoping for love, and is now ready for a furever home with his own lucky people!

Aslan, who’s tested felv/fiv negative, is a calm, sweet, intelligent kitty who would do well as an only cat or with a calm female friend. A quiet home is preferred.
